    A man was killed in Starke County after he was struck by a vehicle.Detective Rob Olejniczak says it happened a little after 2am on U.S. 30 near State Road 23.Police are not releasing the name of the victim but they will say he was a white man in his 30s.Police are looking for the driver.If you have any information on this investigation please contact the Starke County Sheriff's Department.

  • Kosciusko County Police search for stabbing suspect

    The Kosciusko County police are investigating a stabbing incident in Warsaw. The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department released a statement saying the stabbing occurred at the Green Acres Mobile Home Park. It states 28-year-old Viviana Arias was attacked by her husband, 35-year-old Avundio Lozano with a kitchen knife. Officers were told Arias was stabbed following an argument with her husband. She was treated for stab wounds to her arms and face and remains hospitalized in serious, but stable...

  • One Michiana school "erases meanness"

    Something special is happening at School City of Mishawaka this week. It's called Erase Meanness and it's a campaign to discourage bullying. It kicked off today at John Young Middle School.The State Board of Education says for the 2013-14 school year Indiana schools reported more than ten-thousand incidents of bullying. At Mishawaka schools there were about 120 reports, including 21 at John Young. Erase Meanness aims to lower those numbers.
