    The Muskegon County sheriff says a jail sergeant has been fired after the early release of an Ottawa County corrections officer accused of drunken driving.

  • Child mauled to death by pit bull in Chicago

    A 5 year old Chicago boy is dead, after being viciously mauled by a dog. The child was visiting family on the city's south side when the pit bull attacked. Several witnesses saw the attack, and two brothers jumped in and eventually killed the dog in an effort to rescue to boy.

  • Four people flee police, two discovered sleeping in truck bed of Warsaw policeman

    Kosciusko County officers arrested four people Tuesday for fleeing law enforcement. What makes the arrests unusual is two of them came after a Warsaw police officer found two of them sacked out inside the bed of his personal truck.

    The calm of a holiday weekend was shattered, when gunshots rang out in a northwest Chicago neighborhood Saturday. The eruption of violence was caught on tape with a dashboard camera in a parked car. Detectives hope the tape can help track down the gunmen in the shootout.
