  • Police searching for suspect in double shooting in South Bend

    South Bend Police and Metro Homicide report two males were injured in a shooting early this evening on South Bend Avenue. It happened in the 1200 block of South Bend Avenue at the South Bend Avenue Apartments.  That's just south of Notre Dame, near Eddy Street Commons.We're told by police that one of the victims was shot in the head and is in critical condition. The other victim is expected to be released from the hospital.
