    Northern Michigan authorities say that a man, woman and three children ages 8 months to 10 years are in critical condition three days after a car whose driver had been drinking rear-ended their horse-drawn buggy in the fog.

  • Name change for the Center for History in South Bend

    The Center for History made an exciting announcement Thursday morning, changing their name to The History Museum. This is only the forth time in the museum's 148 year history the name has been changed. The History Museum Executive Director, Randy Ray says the name change was simply to help people understand they were a museum.

  • South Bend crime stats show 22% dip in residential burglaries

    South Bend crime statistics through November show a substantial drop in residential burglaries. Throughout the year, crime statistics released by the South Bend Police have shown a consistent trend of slightly less overall crime than last year, but more violent crime. Through November, there have been 15 homicides in South Bend compared to seven through the same point in 2013. Rape is up 12% over the same point in 2013, and aggravated assault is up 17%.
