  • RV industry reports best October sales in 38 years

    A good 2014 for RV sales continued as the industry reported their best sale for the month of October in 38 years. A report from the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association says 32,346 RVs were shipped in October, representing a 11.2% improvement from October of 2013, and a 30.1% increase in shipments from just the previous month.

  • Elkhart Police respond to two armed robberies in one night at same apartment complex

    Overnight Monday and into early Tuesday, Elkhart Police responded to two reported armed robberies at the same apartment complex. Within an hour and a half, starting at 11:00pm Monday night, police responded to two robbery calls on the 900 block of Prairie St., the latter of which ended with a shot fired. In both cases, victims were approached indoors by a male suspect, while another man stood outside.

  • NIPSCO warns consumers to maintain heating system to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning

    As colder temperatures begin settling in the Northern Indiana Public Service Company is reminding people of the importance of maintaining a safe home heating system. A press release from NIPSCO said people should inspect their home's furnace every year to make sure it is working efficiently. An annual protection also protects people in the home from safety concerns like carbon monoxide poisoning.
