  • Kansas man dies after an officer shoots him with a stun gun

    A Kansas man is dead after police use a stun gun on him .Police got a call of a man acting strange in Kansas front of a dollar store.Witnesses say the man started kicking and fighting officers...that's when they tazzed him.The man was taken to the hospital and later died. His name hasn't been released.

  • IN police review board rules a police officer was allowed to shoot at an escaped inmate

    A police review board rules an Indiana Sheriff's deputy was allowed to shoot at a man who allegedly stole her car.The board says Deputy Jennifer Thompson followed all policies and procedures when she opened fire at Marcus Bramlett earlier this month in Warren County.He was being transported when he took off in a squad car.Bramlett later crashed in Lafayette where he was captured.No word when he's due back to court.

  • Indiana's unemployment rate continues to fall

    Indiana continues to show growth in the job marketwhich means the unemployment rate is still falling.The Department of Workforce Development announced the state's unemployment rate dropped to 5.4 percent for April...That's the lowest rate since early 2008.The state also added 10,600 jobs in April and 24-hundred construction jobs which is a positive sign going into summer.

    Police at Indiana State University are now trained to revive victims of drug overdose.A nurse taught 26 officers how to administer Naloxone on Tuesday.The drug counter-acts prescription painkiller and heroin overdoses.The school is the first in the state to train officers to use the life-saving drug.

    The state is launching a new campaign called "Michigan Summer of Safety" to support increased federally funded seat belt and impaired driving enforcement.
