  • Bird Flu quarantine lifted in Dubois County, Indiana

    Animal health officials have lifted a quarantine of the last of ten Indiana poultry farms.  The emergency measure was put in place after a bird flu outbreak in January that hit the regions top performing turkey farms. Dubois County farm was declared virus free after composting hundreds of euthanized birds and thorough cleanings of barns. 

  • Museum shows interest in Tamir Rice shooting scene

    The gazebo where 12-year old Tamir Rice was shot could be preserved in a museum.  Twelve year old Rice was shot by a Cleveland Police office in 2014, sparking national outrage. Now the National Museum of African American History and Culture wants to preserve the place where he was shot.  But Rice's mother isn't so sure that's a good idea.
