  • Eric Holcomb's name being mentioned as Gov. Pence running mate

    (FOX59/WXIN)--The former head of the Indiana Republican Party is expected to be named as Governor Mike Pence's running mate. Eric Holcomb had just announced Monday he is asking the state to withdraw his name as candidate in the US Senate race to replace Dan Coats.  Coats announced he is not running for reelection and Holcomb put his hat in the ring. Now FOX59 says the governor will hold a news conference Tuesday where he's expected to announce Holcomb's name. 

  • Police: Bus driver didn't use brake before fatal accident

    An Indianapolis police report says the driver of a school bus that struck and killed a principal last month got out of the driver's seat without putting on the parking brake.

  • Two Vandalia restaurants join forces

    Leader Publications report Bullseye Marketplace and Farm House Restaurant and Bakery in Vandalia are now one restaurant. The two merged in mid-January. According to Leader Publications you can find the new restaurant on White Temple Road. Bullseye Marketplace is also opening another location this year in Three Rivers.

  • Dowagiac collects water for Flint

    Leader Publications report water will be collected for Flint residents at the Dowagiac Ice Time Festival. It's the festival's 20th year. The water drive is organized by several local businesses. According to Leader Publications you can bring your bottled water donations to the festival Saturday, February 13th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
