  • Marshall County man arrested for allegedly battering a pregnant woman and a young boy

    A Marshall County man is behind bars after police say a pregnant woman and a young boy were battered. Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded to a call for a domestic violence situation just after 10:15pm Wednesday night on the 13000 block of State Rd. 17. When police arrived, they say both the man and woman reportedly involved in the disturbance had fled the home.

    Firefighters worked for several hours to put out a blaze at a large vacant commercial building in Evansville where heavy flames shot dozens of feet from the roof into the nighttime sky.
