  • First human case of Zika virus confirmed in Indiana

    The first human case of Zika virus infection in the state of Indiana has been confirmed.  The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Tuesday morning that the Zika virus had been found in a person who had recently traveled to Haiti. ISDH detailed that the infected person's illness was not severe enough to require hospitalization and that they were not pregnant. 

  • At least one person injured in four-vehicle crash in Granger

    At least one person is reported to have injuries from a four-vehicle crash in Granger. Crews were called out the scene at 7:51 a.m. to a crash on Adams Rd, east of Elm Rd. South Bend police confirm injuries as a result of the accident. Clay Fire and St. Joseph County Police were still on the scene when FOX 28 news crews left, around 8:50 a.m. Crews advise drivers to steer clear from the scene until all clear. Investigators are still looking into the cause of the accident.

  • Beyonce joins Flint water relief efforts

    The celebrity support for residents in Flint, Michigan continues during the ongoing water crisis. Pop star Beyonce is now joining the water relief efforts. The singer is partnering with a local United Way and other programs to help supply filters and bottled water to affected residents.
