  • Pill drop off set in St. Joseph County

    TRIAD of St. Joseph County will be holding pill drop offs Saturday from 9am to 1 pm at the Douglas Road Fire Station at 333 East Douglas Road and the South Bend Fire Station at 1222 South Michigan.

  • Unique kite flying experience comes to Shipshewana

    If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend you might want to head to Shipshewana. That's where you'll find Kite Komotion...with a K.      It's a festival dedicated to the art of kite flying.  There will be an opportunity for kids to make their own kites. This isn't just any kite flying. You'll be able to watch international kite teams dancing their kites to music.

    Polls have opened in Iran's parliamentary runoff elections, a key vote to decide whether hard-liners or moderate forces backing President Hassan Rouhani will control the legislature. Iranian state television reported polls opened at 8 a.m. Friday.

  • Murder of gay South Bend veteran major motivator for re-dedication of LGBTQ Center

    It's a new era for a South Bend Resource Center. Several community members, including the Mayor, cut the ribbon today on a newly renovated building. It has been re-minted as the LGBTQ Center. The recent murder of gay South Bend veteran, Jodie Henderson, served as major motivation for the Center's re-dedication.  "It's been a struggle with me since January," Patricia Forrest, Jodie Henderson's Mother, said tearfully.
