  • UPDATE: New trial date set for man accused of injuring pedestrian during car chase

    The man accused of seriously injuring a pedestrian as he led police on a chase through South Bend had his trial date set back. Clester Burt III was in court Wednesday for a pretrial hearing.  His trial date was originally set for July 14, but the state filed a request for a continuance due to a witness being unavailable.  His trial is now set to begin on Nov. 17. He is currently being held on $100,000 bond.

  • Trial date pushed back for former Mishawaka High School hall monitor accused of molesting student

    A former Mishawaka High School hall monitor accused of molesting a student appeared in court Wednesday. His motion for a continuance was granted, pushing his trial date back to November.Ryan Mouch, 25, was arrested in April and charged with Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Class B Felony. According to court documents, he engaged in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old student outside of the Mishawaka High School student off-campus.

  • UPDATE: Dowagiac Police report missing teenager found safe

    UPDATE: Dowagiac Police report missing teenager Daven Lamont Brown has been located by his family and is unharmed. 
    Police say the family noticed "an increase in conversation" on social media after news reports came out that Brown was missing. They say those conversations led to information on where Brown might be, and he was found by family. Brown told police he was with friends the whole time he was reported missing and neglected to tell his family where he was.

  • Warsaw man arrested for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover cop

    A Warsaw man is behind bars Wednesday after police say he sold drugs to an undercover officer. Chad Monroe Morgan was arrested after police say undercover narcotics officers made multiple purchases of prescription drugs and marijuana from him. Morgan was preliminarily charged with Felony Dealing in a Schedule I Controlled Substance, and is being held on $4,000 bond.

    While the world is sitting and waiting to see what's going to happen next over in the Ukraine, one group is here trying to make a difference and promote peace. For 27 years, the Oneness Home Peace Run has traveled 10,000 miles each year. Runner Arpan DeAngelo says this particular run started on April 19th in New York City.
