    Authorities say a 23-year-old woman called Indianapolis police to tell them she killed her roommate before driving off with four children who were later found unharmed.

    Leader Publications report Dowagiac's Town and Country Garden Club will plant flowers along downtown sidewalks starting 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The flowers will be petunias in a mix of red, white, and velvet.

    Leader Publications report the Niles Charter Township Board of Trustees has awarded Lincoln Park's George Kountoupes Painting Company a contract to paint a water tower. It is the Niles Township's Fairfield Street water tower. The plan is to paint the tower maroon and gold, themed after Brandywine.
