    A former South Bend cop submitted a guilty plea Monday to federal charges alleging physical abuse of a man being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.  Theodore Robert issued a guilty plea to a civil rights violation charge filed against him last year by the U.S. Department of Justice.

    A former South Bend police officer accused of punching a handcuffed man in the face has pleaded guilty to violating the man's civil rights.

  • Super Bowl 50 is third most watched US program ever

    (CNN Money)--The ratings are in for the Manning vs. Newton match up. CBS says the game averaged 111.9 million viewers or 49% of US homes with a TV watched the game. That makes it the third most watched program ever. Sunday night's game actually lost out to Super Bowl 2014 which had the second largest viewership of 112.2 million. The peak viewership occurred as you might suspect, during the 8:30 to 9:00 pm half time show 

  • Saint Mary's janitor issues not guilty plea for child pornography charges

    A not guilty plea has been entered for a Saint Mary's College janitor facing charges after police say they found over 100,000 files of child pornography at his home.  The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office confirmed Luis Morales was arraigned Monday via closed circuit TV from the St. Joseph County Jail.
