  • South Bend Civic Theater hosting unique event this weekend

    If you're looking for something different to do this weekend, then look no further than the South Bend Civic Theater. The Civic is hosting the Indiana Community Theater Association Festival Saturday through Sunday. It features companies from around the region presenting one hour versions of some of their best work.   • Three injured in East Hively Avenue crash in Elkhart

    Three people were injured Thursday evening in a crash at the intersection of East Hively Avenue and South Main Street in Elkhart. A release from Sgt. Chris Snyder of the Elkhart Police says a pick-up truck was headed eastbound on East Hively when it ran a red light and hit a SUV.

  • Death investigation underway in Gary over remains of babies found in funeral home

    A death investigation is underway in Gary after the remains of two babies were found in the ceiling tiles of a funeral home. The skeletonized remains were found inside small boxes at the Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home.Investigators say the funeral home blames a former employee who was let go.
