    Police need your help finding a suspect in a burglary case.It happened last night in the eastern portion of St. Joseph County."This case is somewhat unusual in that most burglaries do not occur during the night with homeowners present," Lt. Matt Blank, St. Joseph County Police Department.If you have any information of who or where this suspect is call Sgt. Cindy Guest in the Detective Bureau at 235-9569.

    There is a female identity theft/credit card fraud suspect that police need your help identifying.She uses a lost credit card which she apparently found at several area stores on the south side of South Bend.The stores are Kroger, Stop N Go, Walmart and K.B. Beverage "Belmont Liquor".According to police she is possibly driving a green Ford Windstar mini van.

    Who knew a National Championship event was being held right here in Michiana?The ATV Motocross championship kicks off Saturday at the Red Bud track in Buchanan, Michigan.   • Elkhart breaks ground on new sewer storage facility

    The city of Elkhart held the ground breaking ceremony, Friday, for the CSO 6 and 7 storage and pump facility project. This project consists of a new 1 million gallon off line storage tank and pumping station to intercept sewage before it enters the river. The project will help reduce overflows from 45 times per year, to just 6 times per year.

  • Police investigating suspicious fire at Mishawaka business

    St. Joseph County Police are investigating an early morning fire at a business in Mishawaka. Crews responded to reports of a car on fire just after 4:30am Thursday on Executive Drive. By the time they arrived on scene, officials found the blaze that begun in an abandoned car had spread to a nearby business: Laidig Concrete.
