    Speaker of the House John Boehner has been unable to get enough votes to extend funding for the Department of Homeland Security.That means as of midnight, 30-thousand people will be furloughed.

    A newspaper is reporting the Indiana Department of Child Services knew an Anderson 16-year-old was malnourished at least four years before she was rushed to a hospital weighing less than 40 pounds.

  • HIV outbreak grows in southeast Indiana

    Twenty-seven Hoosiers now have HIV, and 10 more have preliminary HIV positive tests. All of them contracted the virus in connection with an abusing a prescription drug - opana. It's a potent opioid painkiller. State health officials say the outbreak spawned from individuals injecting the drug for its oxymorphone, and then spread through sharing contaminated needles. Some patients also reported contracting the virus through unsafe sex.
