Celebrate The Mexico and Central America Festivity

The South Bend Non for profit organization Sabor Latino. Is organizing an event to celebrate the Mexico and Central America Festivities.In which everybody will enjoy the already well known traditional food. Activities for the kids and the entire family. Festive music to dance and have fun, and the participation of other City Organizations and Departments like: The Fire Department, Police Department, and many others. There will be the special presentation of the Crowning for: The Queen and King of the 2015 Festival. And some local students will receive their awarded scholarships from this year. ElkhartWoood Community Tree Planting

Applications are now being accepted for the October 2015 ElkhartWood Community Tree Planting Program. The program supports community tree planting projects in the Elkhart area on public and community spaces. Selected projects will receive up to 15 trees, technical assistance and education that includes proper planting and care of trees. Tree planting events will be scheduled during October. Through a partnership with NIPSCO, the ElkhartWood program will be expanding to include one community tree planting project on community owned space in addition to one project on public land. Projects for community spaces must be customers of NIPSCO. ElkhartWood is an exciting, community-driven program that connects the Elkhart community to the city forest. The program is a partnership between the City of Elkhart Forestry Division, the Elkhart Environmental Center (EEC), and the ElkhartWood Products Network. Dwight E. Grant (born March 6, 1974), better known by his stage name Beanie Sigel, is an American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a former member/artist of Dame Dash Music Group and Roc-A-Fella Records where he had formed a close association with rappers Jay-Z, Freeway and other former and current artists on the Roc-A-Fella roster. His stage name comes from a street in South Philadelphia, the rapper’s former stomping grounds where he worked alongside Senior Durham in wilson projects. He has sold more than two million albums worldwide.
