U93 will host a “Goodwill Gives” Dress Drive on Saturday, January 31st at Flourish Boutique in Granger to benefit Hello Gorgeous and collect gently used fashions for their upcoming Glamour Event in February. The Dress Drive will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Centennial Place Shopping Center parking lot; and U93 will broadcast live encouraging ladies to donate their special event wear. Look for the Goodwill Truck on-site and donate your wedding gowns, prom dresses, evening wear and accessories. Household items and other donations will also be accepted. Goodwill plans to make a $1,000 donation to Hello Gorgeous as part of their “Goodwill Gives” initiative. Those who support Hello Gorgeous are encouraged to help Goodwill Stuff-A-Truck. Special event clothing donated will provide a variety of items for the upcoming Goodwill Glamour event to be held at DoubleTree in South Bend on Saturday, February 28th. Take time to clean out your closets and help Change a Life. Your donations will bring joy to the individual, bride, or teenager needing that special dress. Join Purdue Extension and the LaGrange County Public Library for free indoor walking classes developed by Debra Palmer, PhD., of Rutgers University, in collaboration with Leslie Sansone. Come learn about this low impact workout you’ll be able to do in the comfort of your own home. • Receive a free instructional DVD after completing the 6 week session. • Enjoy healthy snack samples, recipes and nutrition information at each class session. Miguel Reyes is a 13 year old who was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer. He is currently receiving chemotherapy. We are having this benefit to raise money for his care.
